Cancer Rising – December 2012
This month sees the Sun passing through your 6th house, so much of your energy early on in the month will be focused on issues of everyday work, routine and health before the matter of relationships come into sight at the end of the month. Your prime motivations now will be aim to do whatever you have to do in a correct and efficient manner. It is possible that you could have to serve to someone else's wishes, be it your boss, a customer or a client. Your health and physical well being is very important to you now, and you will make sure that you have the best diet and you are in the best shape that you can be. Any ailments may worry you, so if you are concerned, please go and get professional advice. On the 3rd the Sun makes an opposition to Jupiter moving in your 12th house. This is a very generous opposition and you may be moved to help someone in need, or make a donation to a charity you hold dear to your heart.
Mercury begins the month in your 5th house, and mentally this is a light hearted time and one where you will find any challenges stimulating, the actions of children educational to you and talking and communicating with the one you love joyous. As Mercury moves into Sagittarius it makes a square to Neptune on 11th December. This dreamy square can cause confusion and misunderstandings and even deception, especially in matters affecting children, lovers and affairs of the heart. If you are artistic however, this aspect could be beneficial to you as it stimulates your creative talents. From here on in, you will be increasingly influenced by everyday affairs such as work, daily routine and your personal health and fitness. Getting everything right and correct (echoing the movements of the Sun) will be important to you through the rest of December. On 14th December, Mercury makes a trine to Uranus and right now you can impress your boss with your ideas. You might also take on new technical or scientific role at work.
Venus is moving through the realms of the 5th house in the first part of December, so away from work, your social life should be really fun and exciting. This is a great time to get out and socialize, so what are you waiting for? In mid month she makes square to Neptune on 14th, so be careful that a lover or a child doesn’t try to take advantage of your good nature, especially financially. People you meet could have deceptive intentions, so be careful that you have your wits about you. On this day Venus will be approaching your 6th house, so the accent will change as we approach Christmas as you feel that you need to attend to the more mundane things in life, like your diet and health. The temptation to eat and drink too over Christmas much will be concerning you greatly. Venus makes a trine to Uranus on 19th and the urge to try or do something out of the ordinary may come across you now. This could be a romantic gesture or even something public and unexpected. The temptation to spend your money on the most unusual items could also be on the cards.
Mars is in your 7th house, so relations in your marriage or with business associates through this month could be somewhat “lively”. You will be in an assertive mood, but make sure this positive attitude doesn’t turn into anger and spite, especially against employers.
The full Moon in your own sign of Cancer on 28th December is very powerful and emotional being opposite to Pluto and square to Uranus. This occurs across in your first house, and so that lively atmosphere I mentioned with your spouse or partner can turn hostile if you are not careful. I can see battles for control, with you asserting your own ideas but your partner disagreeing with what you think. Full Moons show release, and here we do have a huge release of tension that is coming out across the opposition of Sun and Moon. Remember to step back and count to 10 if tensions rise.
