Can a Low-Carb Breakfast Help Manage Blood Sugar in Type 2 Diabetes?

By Dietdoctor @DietDoctor1

Could eating a low-carb breakfast help people with type 2 diabetes get better blood glucose readings? The answer is absolutely, according to a new study:

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition: Effect of Carbohydrate Restriction in the First Meal After an Overnight Fast on Glycemic Control in People with Type 2 Diabetes: A Randomized Trial

The participants' blood sugar levels were significantly lower after the low-carb breakfast. So the question is what would happen if the participants just continued to eat low-carb throughout the whole day?

I think most readers of this blog knows. It's not exactly rocket science.
