Hey everyone. Today is going to be a review of a very unique blush in my collection. The blush isnt unique per se…its unique in my collection , I dont have anything like this. I am talking about Bourjois Blush 03 Extrait.

Bourjois blush 03 Extrait is quiet unlike any blush I have seen or used and that is the reason I was impulsively drawn towards it. It in essesnse is shimmer. Plain and simple its just shimmer, the SA was swatching it for someone else and my eye caught so much shimmer and I am not a fan of shimmer blush at all, and I did not intend to buy one either.
But then I loved loved the way light was catching up the shimmer and the effect it was giving, pardon me though I couldnt capture it at all in my pictures.

Boujois Brun Cuivre is a light peach blush with ample amount of shimmer, while swatching all you will see is the shimmer, the peach color doesnt show up all that is evident is the shimmer.
It goes on smoothly and despite being shimmery it blends decently on the cheeks, not that I will ever apply so much shimmer, just my choice though. If you are into shimmer blushes I would advice you to use a light hand and slowly build up the intensity. It stays put for long hours, I have tested it for 6 plus hours, it didnt make face a big disco ball.
How I like to use it :
The minute I saw it I knew I am not going to be using it as a blush anytime soon. But I did have other uses of it in mind.
I like to use it over my eye makeup where I dont want to use loose glitter or shimmer , I just dab it all over my lids to get a wash of glitter al over the eyes, doing so makes it ok for me to wear shimmer and sparkle during the day time as the intensity is low.
I have also applied it over my lids with just an eyeshadow base and once over Maybelline color tattoo Bad to the Bronze and loved how the gold and silver looked.
Next I like to use as a highlight for night time event, dinner or parties. Just a slight dab on the cheeks and you are done.
The most fun I had been using it on the shoulders and decollete area, while wearing an LBD or a sleeveless dress, ofcourse there are body bronzers and shimmers for this purpose, I am using this blush for these purposes as well.
If you are someone who likes to use shimmery blushes then you are just going to love it. Bourjois Blush 03 Extrait is not a must have blush by any means, but sure is a fun one to keep in your kitty, is different and you can find multiple uses out of it.
