It’s summer over here and spring ovah theh *jazz hands* *mid-air heel click*. I gave summer a pretty huge head-start on the blog this year so let’s continue to give spring a bit more of the limelight until it finally…actually gets hot (anyone feelin’ me on this? where’s the heat?!). I have one little thing that was given to me at a recent event that impressed me so much when I cropped and color-balanced my photos (to match what I see in real life). This review wasn’t planned until I put this Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge stuff on which is cream color for lips and cheeks, that much of an impact yes, the nanosecond when your mind blurts out “Wow, ganda pala nito”. These aren’t necessarily just sheer by the way, they’re creamy packed with pigment but can be sheered out depending on the amount you pick up with your finger or brush. It’s pretty much sheer to moderate creamy color coverage in a compact formulated to suit cheeks as a cream blush, too.

I was dashing out the door getting ready to meet my grandfather at my aunt’s place and then, albeit annoying, this ” first, let us take a selfie” moment happened…at age 30 (creeps backward from spotlight). Read more to see why I was so taken in by this stuff, seriously, the impact was of course when I put it on.
Strangely enough these random hasty-pasty shoots are fast becoming my most relevant ones for some reason…I guess because they’re pretty much “unscheduled” reactions. What hit me with a bang was the success in the shade I got Powder Pink (quirky name for a cream blush) which doesn’t even look super pink in the pot…it’s, umm, you tell me.
That is seriously not what it looks like when you put it on, part of it depends on your own lipcolor as well. You can’t imagine it on staring into the compact you just have to apply it to understand. Closest description I can come up with is (wrings mind)…it’s the best pink brown belonging to a family of nudes that I’ve ever put on, an undoubted MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade. Plus, on the cheeks? It’s got enough of a pink undertone underneath the earthiness to make cheeks look authentically flushed in a rosy sort of way. The texture has some drag which causes some stickiness over the mouth but not to the extent that someone has to countdown your answer (I hate unbearably sticky lips), once it sets it feels sort of like a lipstick. Now the proof that I was compelled to write this is because I actually put Powder Pink Pot Rouge on, right? That happens here. Partial credit goes to my ring finger. Note, I don’t have lip-liner on.
This last picture here delivers my verdict. You can sooo tell, right? The Pot Rouge shade “Powder Pink” is too naturally perfect in my eyes and so easy to put on I feel like I’ve struck off-duty model gold, come on, it’s got to be! It’s got that natural earthiness but enough pink in it to join the spring parade. I don’t care if this isn’t going to last me 6-8 hours, I’ll retouch willingly (I’ve read longevity is so-so) simply because the shade is PERFECT and that is the only reason you should put up with less longevity, that and the confirmation that it doesn’t break you out. The only thing left is to find the person who slipped this Pot Rouge into my Bobbi Brown blogger bag and give ‘em a huge KISS.
