Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream & Bare Minerals Naturally Luminous Duo

By Stephanie1 @NewBeautyReview
I wanted to do a quickie review on these 2 samples I got w/my Sephora Holiday haul. I got so many that I'm still writing about them! Lol
The first product I tried was the Bobbi Brown, Hydrating Eye Cream.
It's a deluxe sample so it's .10 oz. It's a lot of product, considering most samples just come in little sqeezey packets that are only good for one use. This is a nice size jar.
The product promises, & delivers, moisture. It doesn't say it'll "take 20 yrs off your life" or "turn you into a Barbie." It simply wants to moisturize your under eye area & provide a smooth canvas for your concealer to sit on. It went on smooth & felt silky but not greasy. I woke up & could still tell it was working, as promised.
I went to shower & noticed it didn't slip off! Some products you can feel coming off when you wash your face & that tells you right there it didn't penetrate as it should have, but this had clearly sunk in.
I would use something like this in my kit for Shoots & Shows b/c the makeup stays on for such little time, so the prepping products can work fast. I'm not opposed to using anti-aging or some of these other eye creams that do 100 different things, on models or for work. I'm just saying if it's going to be on for 2 hours, all it really needs to do is moisturize so this is perfect!
As for it's scent, it's not loaded w/perfumes but I thought I picked up a trace of cinnamon so I looked up the ingredients. It didn't list any form of Cinnamon but it does have Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel Extract, Jojoba Seed, Avocado Oil and Squalane. ALL of which are perfect to use under your eyes.
I would definitely keep this in the refrigerator b/c most of the ingredients are water based so they will keep well in cool temps & reduce puffiness better when cold.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream & bare Minerals Naturally Luminous Duo
Next on my list are the bare Minerals, Purifying Facial Cleanser & Purely Nourishing Moisturizer.
Both of these had a slightly medicinal scent which turned me off instantly. The cleanser removed all makeup, as promised, except for my mascara. It also left my skin feeling tight/dry. It was weird, I put in on and went to get a washcloth and it had dried, like in a few seconds. It felt somewhat irritating around my eyes too, so I removed it immediately. Not a fan to say the least :-(
The moisturizer didn't feel so bad on my skin but it's clearly "lightweight" as it's described, too light for me. I personally didn't get much out of it & it also had a medicinal, soapy & kind of a stagnant scent. I'm not sure if the sample I got wasn't good or if that's it's usual scent, either way I was turned off.
I don't have much experience w/Bare Minerals b/c I'm not a fan of mineral products as a whole, but I have tried & do like Bare Escentuals, Buxom Lip Gloss.
Keep it pretty!
