Hair & Beauty Magazine
It's a familiar story isn't it? Life getting in the way of blogging. I am not here to defend it merely let you know what I have been up too and where I have been. This year was always going to be a little bumpy... graduating university, starting full time work and moving interstate means blogging has taken a back seat of late. Rest assured The Beauty Clientele and my readers have never been far from my thoughts. I am not here to say we are back to full capacity blogging but to let you know why posts may be a little scarce until I get on my feet.
Beginning full time work has been great but at the same time draining and all consuming. After four years full time study I was well and truely ready to get out there and start working. In my area of work and wherever you work it is a constant learning experience. At the five week mark I am beginning to feel more comfortable but of course there is always something that comes up you aren't prepared for- I am learning how to deal with that!
One of my goals for the new year was to get on top of my fitness. I had been going to the gym previously but I felt I wasn't achieving the things I wanted to. The gym I was attending wasn't inspiring me to push myself. I had been a Fernwood members years ago but left when I moved to Sydney to attend university. I had enjoyed Fernwood at the time so when I saw Fernwood were advertising their annual no joining fee I jumped on the chance to start a new membership with them. It's been two weeks since I have started going back to Fernwood and I am loving it! I actually look forward to working out again and plan things so I can go regularly. Win for fitness goals!
The boy and I are doing long distance this year until he finishes his course so Valentine's Day 2013 was spent alone.... *cue violins*. I did however receive these beautiful flowers- my favourites the lilies are yet to open. It was a lovely surprise and a beautiful thought.
It's my birthday tomorrow and so to celebrate I decided to spoil myself and pick up some new sunglasses. My old ones were well loved and ready to be thrown out- the lens that kept popping out was probably the giveaway. I found these on a good sale. I am so picky when it comes to sunglasses so to find a pair I really like is a small miracle. I know summer is quickly drawing to an end but I am sure we still have plently of sunny days left in order to get use out of these. What I love about them is that they are a classic style and will last me years... *fingers crossed*.
So there we have it- a little update of what's been happening the last few weeks. Many changes afoot but I am slowly getting used to it all. I hope to be back in the blogosphere sooner rather than later.
