Hello guys! Today I’m going to introduce in MetalWind a Spanish Alternative Rock/Metal band called Blended, which in a few days releases its first album entitled “Rebels”, which is coming out on 28th February, and it will be available on all major digital stores (Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, etc).
Blended was born in 2012 in the south of Spain and is formed by guys with many different influences (Faith No More, Meshuggah, Hellyeah, Deftones and more). They started this musical project without a clear goal and with opened mind to experimental and modern sounds without a definite style. I think that the name of the band is the best definition of their music, and these guys are developing their own sound mixing the influences of each one of the members, innovating and creating a sound without a concrete style label.
But these guys not only mixing their influences in their sound, the members of Blended also have mixed their role in the band, Hugo Gonzalez, originally drummer is now on vocals and Ian Cavalcanti, who originally played bass, was playing guitar and at this moment he came back to bass, closing the line-up is Fernando Puebla on drums and Fran Guerrero on guitars, at the same time we also can see Fran Guerrero as Denial Silence’s guitar player.
After an EP called “Hours” (2012), Blended has been working till now, and they have been experimenting with sounds and composing their new material, for their first full length album called “Rebels”, which will be available on 28th February.
This new release is full of Groove Metal sounds, Alternative Rock, distorsion touches and some other elements in the sound, which besides aggressive voices with melodic parts and powerful guitars, without forget a marked bass in the sound, offer us a sound very cool and forceful. Songs like “Abstrakt” or “My City On Fire” are highly recommended, “Hours” is fantastic and its sound remembers me in some parts to Rage Against The Machine’s sound, “Me And Myself” and “The Soil Of Dead” are other great songs in the album which I recommend you.
Definitively, I think that Bended releases an interesting and powerful album and these guys probably offer a brutal and cool sound in their shows, I invite you to listen the following video preview from “Rebels” album, pay attention and remember, the album will be available on all digital stores on 28th February (Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, etc).
