As I have been passing the time anxiously awaiting everyone's race recaps from BMO Vancouver yesterday (HINT!), I decided I might as well go burn some calories in the gym and hopped onto a bike with my new favorite biking companions, the Bluth family.
It was kind of a false start at first, though - I got all set up down there and then realized I had forgotten my headphones. Reminder to self - bring extra headphones to keep in work gym bag... But I made a quick trip to my desk and then I was set. Two episodes later, I was good and sweaty and ready to get on with my day. I also feel like I pedaled off some of the stiffness from Saturday's race and BIG PR!.
My legs were moving so fast - they are just a blur!
8.5 miles in 40 mins. But, more importantly - MORE ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT! LOL
and I tried a new position for my fitbit on the bike today...
It was a bit better...but still only registered 2500 steps. Methinks that's about all there is. Oh and apparently I am so winter-pale that it looks like I am wearing gray tights. Gross.
and, now for a DietBet update.
For most of this month, my weight has not budged. Then, after I figured out the whole "I'm anemic" thing last week, I started supplementing my iron and suddenly dropped 3 lbs like that *snaps fingers*
So with only 3.5 lbs left to go to win this DietBet, I figure that is totally doable in a week. But my body is a mess. So, I picked this up and started it yesterday...time to purify.
I liked this kit because it seemed the least invasive...it allows me to eat real meals and had good reviews. I may post a full review next week once it's over. I'm on day two and feeling a bit lighter already, though the scale says otherwise. I may end up shooting myself in the foot on the diet bet...but ultimately I am just trying to reset my body a bit so it can start to heal itself....and if I lose $25 (the bet entry fee) in the process then so be it...
