By Artsyweddingblog @alicepub

For centuries, weddings have always been expected to be grand, lavish and big. Invites that were being delivered could reach up to hundreds in number and receptions were envisioned to be extravagant. Since it is after all one of the most important days in a person’s life, its importance should be directly proportional to the size.

However, with the ever-changing state of the economy, small weddings are increasing in popularity and some even feel that such a small scale event makes for a more intimate and romantic atmosphere as compared to a large scale one.

Another important factor that will determine which wedding you will have is the location. If you’re having an outdoor wedding or one in a banquet hall with large seating and standing spaces, then a large number of guests should definitely not be a problem but should you be having it in a restaurant or anywhere else that have strict restrictions on the total number of guests present, then you might just have to cancel a couple of names of your guest list. If you’re still unsure then here are a list of pros and cons of both a big and small wedding:

Both weddings have their own pros and cons but the most important thing to keep in mind is that a wedding should encompass and reflect the essence of the future newly weds and that ultimately, it is up to the both of you to decide what it is that is right and will make you happy to work with. Either way, if its planned and executed right, your wedding can certainly be transformed into the best wedding that anyone has ever been to.
