You’re busy building your wedding planning business and today, for those of us in the United States, it’s a holiday, Labor Day. Are you taking the day off?
Often new wedding planners think if they don’t work every minute of everyday on their businesses, their businesses will not do well. The truth is, if they never take any time off, they get burned out quickly. Wedding planning becomes a chore and they lose their passion for something they love to do.
You need to take time off, even if you are just starting out. A break will help you be more productive and you’ll probably get some of your best ideas when you return to work.
If you have a full time job and need holidays to work on your wedding planning business, determine how many hours you will work, then select tasks that you would really enjoy doing. This will make it easier for you to get motivated.
And while you are working, stay focused, don’t get distracted by the television and don’t spend time chatting on the phone or texting friends who are taking the day off.
When you are done working your designated hours, stop, don’t mingle work and time off.
Relax and enjoy the free time you’ve earned.
