Bath Time!

By Lotionsandpotions @LotionNPotion
Hello!
It's been a long week at work and I'm feeling pretty tired. The boy is out for the evening with work friends so I'm going to indulge in a nice, long, pampering bath with my favorite bath time products!
Bath Time!
From Left to right: The Body Shop Shea Body Butter, Space NK Life Candle, Space NK Life Midnight Milk Soak
I absolutely LOVE the smell of the Life range from Space NK. (plus how cute are all the polar bears?!) The Midnight Milk Soak is my favorite product though, as it's so gentle and doesn't irritate my skin. Many bath products are foaming and contain either Sodium Laureth Sulphate or Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, which I try to avoid as it aggravates my eczema (yukky!).
I got the bath milk and the Space NK candle as a set during an online Space NK sale after I tried a sample bottle of the  bath soak that my mom had lying around and I was so pleased with them! A matching candle, imagine! Not only does it look nice displayed in my bathroom, but it's perfect, relaxing mood lighting for when I have a bath and complements the soak perfectly.
The consistency of the bath soak is a little thicker than milk, but it is white! The instructions on the bottle are to pour the product into the cap after unscrewing it and this should give you the right amount. Now, I don't know about you, but I prefer to have a little more than a thimble sized amount of product going into my bath! I usually put 2 capfuls in and that does the trick. It doesn't foam up, just turns the bath water cloudy and it smells DIVINE.
'Skin softening sweet almond oil and moisturising castor oil have been added to a mild and gentle sugar based bath soak. Active milk polypeptides help soothe and restore the lipid barrier of the skin whilst sugar ester leave  skin super soft. Fragranced with lily, geranium and violet on a base of cedar and sweet vanilla for a midnight float away'

As you can probably tell, it's pretty floral!
I have also just noticed that they are running an offer on the set right now so that instead of £38.00 it's £19.00. I really recommend getting it!
After my bath (often accompanied by a nice glass of chilled white wine) I tend to smother myself from neck to toe in The Body Shop's Shea Body Butter. (I say neck for a reason - I don't want to put the Body Butter on my face as it's too thick and would probably mess up my routine. Me and my skincare products have got a nice thing going on at the moment so I don't want mess with that!) If I had the body lotion version of the bath milk, I'd probably give that a go instead though, as the scent is so lovely. However, I don't have that product so body butter it is! (I'm a little cautious to get the Space NK body lotion though as scented body lotions can cause a reaction for me)
The Body Shop Body Butters are awesome. I mean, seriously, awesome. They come in so many flavours (?) from fruity to floral and they've even just brought out a chocolate one, which smells even better than their Cocoa Butter products, which I didn't think was possible!
The consistency is so thick and creamy, it feels so luxurious to apply. Honestly, it's the most moisturising body lotion ever - perfect for my parched skin! It's also great to apply straight after a bath as your skin is warm so the pores are open and more receptive to absorbing products.
Now time to actually use these things and get on with my evening of relaxation!
Grace
