We all know that Azealia Banks has has her social media run-ins with T.I in the past. I don't know why, I honestly don't care why. I am sure somewhere in there Tiny's appearance was insulted. Be that as it may I have to stop and ask myself, 'who the hell is Azealia Banks!?' I may just be a day late and a dollar short, but nothing about her, other than T.I ripping her a new a**hole via IG, even remotely says 'interesting'. I'm bored, watching Sex & The City, and I been drinking (not watermelon), so I guess this Iggy and Azealia beef is as controversial as it's getting tonight. I must admit that although I am basically brand new and out of the box on Azealia Banks, I damn sure respect her and applaud her honesty in a time when honesty is needed and Hip Hop seems to be in a state of emergency. I find it entertaining that Iggy basically tried to school Azealia on the reason why she as a 'black artist' isn't succeeding. Iggy should know, she is a very successful 'black' artist herself. Azealia had an interview on Hot 97, and I must say, homegirl is hitting on points I have been trying to make since 'Itchy' - I mean, Iggy came on to the scene. Here are the shots that were fired in yet another rendition of 'Hate & Hip Hop: “Put Iggy in the pop category. Put her and Miley Cyrus in the same f*ckin’ box together. Don’t put her in hip-hop. Just because she’s singing, does not mean she’s rap music….When they give these Grammys out, all it says to white kids is, ‘You’re great. You’re amazing. You can do whatever you put your mind to.’ And it says to black kids, ‘You don’t have shit. You don’t own shit, not even the shit you created yourself.’ And it makes me upset.
