What’s new Metalheads! Today I am going to present on MetalWind a great Symphonic Power Metal band from Venezuela called Aphelium. These guys from Caracas will be much talked about in the Metal scene, because they have a incredible sound with an amazing vocalist, Joan Pabón, to which I send from here a friendly greeting and I thank him for his collaboration with MetalWind.
Aphelium began its journey in the world of heavy metal in 2006. In the begining they started as a heavy metal band and slowly evolving into the Symphonic and Power Metal subgenres since 2008.
The band has played in several clubs and festivals like Gillmanfest in Venezuela in which it was a support band for the british band Saxon or the National Rock Festival in which Aphelium was awarded first place. In 2012 these guys released a self-titled demo which has gained the attention of the Venezuelan Metal scene, and we can find on this demo a great Power Metal combinated with orchestrations and progressive metal elements.
It contains three powerful tracks that leave you wanting more great Aphelium metal songs, and I personally, I hope and I would like to hear more Aphelium material soon.
In the meantime I invite you to listen this fantastic demo and I recommend supporting the band in the Viña Rock Contest 2014 to enable them to play in the next edition of the Viña Rock Festival in Spain. This is a great opportunity for Aphelium band to get to know their amazing music well beyond his country.
