Following on from my last post about children at weddings, comes another little scene stealer from a wedding last Easter Sunday at the Holy Trinity Church in Bungay, Suffolk. This too cute little girl, the Brides niece, absolutely loved the dance floor, twirling and whirling away without a care but as soon as the band stopped playing, even for a short moment, she was, without fail, straight over to the Saxophonist to ask him when the band would be starting up again. This took place numerous times and was clearly an opportunity too good to miss, although, as I’ve just noted, there wasn’t much likelihood of that!
In this particular instance, there was a lamp placed behind the Saxophone player that was obviously there to help him read his music but which, to my delight, fell perfectly on the little girls face. I took several frames of this moment but it is this particular shot that stands out for me. The look on her face as she asks for more music is near angelic and the way she is playing with her necklace, in anticipation of the response, is golden. It’s little moments like these that really make a wedding for me.
There’ll be more from this wedding in a short while so check back soon, or, if you can’t wait then why not check out other posts in my blog or visit my galleries.
