Brooklyn-based band Animal Years is proud to release their cover of HAIM’s “The Wire.” This cover was one of the highlights from their show with Jesus on The Mainline last September and I’m excited to finally hear the official recording! Although the track was just released last week, it has been praised as “the best recording the band have done in their career,” by PopWrapped.
The song starts out slow and steady but soon picks up as Mike’s powerhouse vocals and insanely catchy chorus kick in. Listen to their roots rendition below and tell us what you think! Better than the original?
The trio is currently putting the finishing touches on their next album, which will follow their highly successful debut, Sun Will Rise.
