Well, make the most of it because tomorrow we'll be back in the sludge of the usual boring-snoring, shlock-horror news cycle. Of course, you are already smiling happily at my previous post which chronicled the falling from grace - and right into the 'slammer' - of a bunch of politically correct and corrupt 'educators' but now you will burst into laughter and cheers as I tell you of another bunch of Leftie prats who demonstrate what we all suspect, that they are as thick as a box of rocks!
This concerns the American version of 'The Graun', that ultra politically correct magazine, Rolling Stone. Last year they published a story by one of their senior 'reporters', Ms. Sabrina Rubin Erdely, which purported to describe a mass rape in one of the fraternity houses at the University of Virginia. Cue: shlock-horror all round the liberal-leftie world which began to ooze pity and compassion for the sad victim out every pore. So, a pity really that when the local 'plod' investigated they could find no confirmation of the incident. Doubts arose, not least because Ms. Erdely has form, and a detailed investigation by the Colombia School of Journalism found that the whole story was a sham and that Ms. Erdely, putting political and personal issues in front of her duties as a journalist, had been well and truly duped. Now cue: real wails and real tears from Rolling Stone whose senior 'editors' are looking like the utter and complete prats they are. After issuing cringing and crawling apologies, now all they can do is wait for the writs to hit them from all those 'posh boys' at the U of V who were wrongfully accused. As Oscar, such a dear boy, once (nearly) put it, 'it would take a heart of stone not to burst out laughing'!
