Adrenal Fatigue Test Results

I have struggled with serious fatigue for a very long time. I’ve had numerous blood tests to see if my thyroid was under active but inevitably the tests always came back normal. At one point I had a serious sinus infection and that was thought to be causing my fatigue. Upon treatment I did feel marginally better but not enough to feel human again. This has gone on for years, but has recently progressed to a point of exhaustion.

As I’m sure you know, I have some level of continuous stress in my life. Having a child with autism can be extremely taxing. There are so many problems that arise on a daily, if not hourly basis. For years I was bitten, kicked, hit and screamed at by my son. He could not control his anger and therefore he would take it out on me, day after day. I would have to worry about his behavior at home, at school and everywhere in between. We worked with therapists to try to change these trying behaviors, but nothing worked. This stress lasted for years (and truthfully some of it is still going on), I hate to admit it but I was so happy when it was time for the boys to go to bed because I would finally get a chance to rest and regroup.

But that type of stress can be disabling and debilitating. After doing research while we used AC chelation I found out about Adrenal Fatigue. It is not recognized by most mainstream doctors as a real problem because it does not turn up on traditional tests. But as I learned from Dr. Martha Herbert, sometimes something doesn’t have to be completely broken to not function properly. This is what Adrenal Fatigue is. Your adrenals are still “working”, they just aren’t working well and you begin to feel extremely tired. This past Christmas I was extremely stressed between the holiday, Matthew’s extreme anger and the lack of sleep that comes with AC Chelation. I remember Christmas night after the children had gone to bed I just began to shake, and I felt so cold. It was 7:30 PM and I had to go to bed. For days I could not shake this weariness and it only improved marginally. I ended up going to see Matthew’s integrative medicines doctor to ask if I could be tested for Adrenal Fatigue.

Not only did I test positive with Adrenal Fatigue (which was pretty bad according to the saliva test results) I also tested extremely low in vitamin D. I have recently been put on a D3 supplement and on Drenamin for the Adrenal Fatigue. I hope that this will finally bring some energy back to my life.

If you are having severe fatigue you should be tested for Adrenal Fatigue, Vitamin D deficiency, H. Pylori infection, Epstein Barr, and thyroid deficiency among other problems. Make sure you bring up your exhaustion to your doctor as it could be something serious and should be addressed! Stay Well.
