What’s new, guys! Today I’m going to present an interesting progressive rock project from Italy. I’m talking about Active Heed, a new musical initiative of Umberto Pagnini which has resulted in a great album entitled “Visions from Realities”.
Umberto Pagnini is a musician who believes in creative music collaboration and with Active Heed he would like to achieve that goal. And I think that Umberto is really achieving that goal, because “Visions from Realities” offers us a high quality progressive rock with a fantastic production.
This debut album of Active Heed is in my opinion a very good album of introduction to these guys in the musical scene and which will not disappoint the prog fans out there. “Visions from Realities” is an impressive first album with catchy melodies, nice vocals and great atmospheric compositions highly recommended.
Really, Umberto has made a great job as composer achieving a sound very mature with a great end result. Songs like “Flying Like a Fly” with fantastic guitars, the powerful “Withou Joy” or “Flashing Fast Forward” are amazing songs that I recommed to listen. You also pay attention to “Our Vast Emptiness” with its great surround sound and “Every Ten Seconds Before”, a nice song with a fantastic melody and vocals.
Definitely, I think that “Visions from Realities” is an amazing album that you shouldn’t miss. If you like progressive rock Active Heed is your new band with a debut album highly recommend.
