So Sarah Palin is in the Middle-East right now. She was in India on Sunday, and yesterday she had a private dinner with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The speculation in the media is that this visit is an indication that she is running for President and needed to take this trip to the Middle East to build some foreign credential. Really?
As a candidate for Vice-President her sole Foreign Policy credential was Russia, which she never visited but could allegedly see from Alaska. Why not pay a visit to President Medvedev? Steve Schmidt, Advisor to John McCain during the 2008 presidential election revealed, after the fallout with her, that Sarah Palin thought that Africa was a country, not the continent we all know it is. Why not tour some African countries, South Africa and Nigeria for instance. How about Ghana?
Then she’ll have to go to China, or close to it, to Taiwan; to South Africa, Mexico for instance, or Brazil, or Columbia; to Australia or New Zealand.
Ridiculous is the idea that one can build foreign policy credentials as a tourist.
