A Must-go Bazaar for All Fashionistas

By Ginetedw @DEXTERGINETE

The recently concluded Grand Bazaar at the Elements Tent, Centris Mall at Quezon City last 16-17 March 2013 was an enormous success. Thanks to our sponsor: Zelt Concepts and Events Management. By the way, if you don't know what Zelt means, well Zelt is a German term for a marquee or a tent.Since bazaars are usually held in a tent, zelt is undeniably the right term. Isn't this term catchy or what? Anyway, the bazaar was a huge where fab finds, good, food, stylish crowd and most of all accommodating bazaaristas convene together to kick off the summer with this year's longest running bazaar: the Grand Bazaar. This is the third time of the year, with nine more remaining, that Zelt sponsored such a prosperous event. Aside of course, from helping small and medium size entrepreneurs sell their products to a wider market, the event also focused on redefining the lifestyle of the shoppers by showcasing the best and affordable clothing, toys and kids wear, accessories and bags, household items and even overrun tops. They are so affordable, I was able to buy four pieces of tops and blazers. You can even haggle with the saleslady. Just use your charm though. Anyway, what was I up to during the two days:

Shown in this photo are two of my sponsors: Ms. Marshela Jamaira Tan, who is the owner of Chatoyer et Etinceler (Shimmer and Sparkle), who also made those raisin beaded necklaces I am wearing and the neon green luggage organizer I am holding; and needless to say, Ms. Angela E. Benzon, the over-all organizer of this awesome event. Well, the Grand Bazaar is not just any other bazaar. Aside from the cool ambiance of the bazaar, the stalls are properly organized as to food, clothes, household items, bags and accessories. So, if you want to buy something for your kids or a swimsuit for yourself, you can always go along a certain aisle and all the things you need are there, without going to another booth or stall. What's even wonderful is that your P1,000.00 can allow you to buy five tops even. Isn't that great? There is nothing more fun than shopping and mind you, I feel alive when I shop. Even if they have credit card stations, I need not anymore bring one since the money I brought was enough for me to buy several pieces. Just look at my outfit below.

Do you like this look? These three pieces are bought from the Grand Bazaar and you can find something more when you go there. Here are the things that are in store for you at the  bazaar.

A life-sized superman shall make all kids enjoy toy shopping along with a wide range of robots, matchboxes, cars and kids stuff that males both young and old will surely enjoy. This booth is amazingly cute. You can even take a photo with superman and paste them on your facebook wall. Isn't that cool! Not only that you go shopping here, you get to pose with the man of steel.

Who does not want overrun items? I DO. Mind you, they are not "ukay ukay" and of course they come in various sizes from large to extra large. They are mostly for ladies of course, but I was able to find pieces that can suit me too, just like my look above. At P480.00, you can buy one with another item for free. These pieces are sold by Badoo, which is also another term for clothing. Don't be afraid to wear overrun clothes, simply wear them appropriately. After all, it's about the wearer not the clothes. I assure you they can look more fabulous than the one you buy at the mall. Believe me, I have tried and wore these pieces...

Indeed, accessories either make or break an outfit. The bazaar also showcases these fabulous neck pieces sold by one of the stalls. From bracelets to cuffs to bangles as well as ostentatious rings, this stall has it all. It does not have a name though but surely the designer of this store is eccentrically genius. Look at the fringe necklace hanging there, did you notice I am wearing one too in the photo above?

Here is the beautiful Marshela Jamaira Tan and her assistant at the Chatoyer et Etinceler booth featuring their fabulous arm pieces and their three-in-one luggage organizer for only P 400.00. The organizer, which comes in different colors is made of durable canvass material and is spacious to fit your vanity kit, underwear, long pants, valuables and even your shirts and polos. Not only does Marshella sell stuff that shimmers and sparkles, she has these functional organizers that are worthy to purchase. With these organizers, you will never go outdated while traveling.

Being a visual merchandiser myself, I see to it that the store that I am styling is visually appealing. During my short stint at the bazaar, I was able to assist the bazaaristas in selling their items by providing tips in how to arrange their clothes so that shoppers may see easily what are being sold. Did you know that it only takes three seconds for a shopper to spot a good find so it's very important for a store to attract customers. This store, in particular, is so well lit that I suddenly asked, Is the electricity rent here free? You have to put a spot light on the products so that customers will see what they actually look like. If they like what they see, they normally buy them.

Can't get enough of my thoughts on the bazaar? Catch the Grand Bazaar again next month on 20-21 at the Elements Tent, Centris Mall.Don't forget, this is brought to you by the one and only leaders in the events industry: Zelt Concepts and Events Management. Leave a comment below if you want to reserve for a booth. Or better, contact Ms. Angela Benzon at 0917-557-5005.
