Whenever I am getting ready to travel somewhere, and take a trip, rather it would be for a few days, or a few weeks, nothing comes easy when you have to pack, and you want to basically include your entire closet in your trip.
So, I wanted to set aside the struggles, and true frustration of packing, and share with you guys a few of my favorite tips for light, and easy packing.
1. Put together your top favorite outfits
Find what clothes you want to bring on your trip, is and can be the most frustrating part of the entire packing process. When you’re trying to figure out what clothes you want to pack and bring along with you, make sure you pair each item of clothing with another item of clothing, that will make an outfit. Packing ‘outfits’ is a lot easier, than just throwing everything together at once.
2. Roll roll roll your clothes
Folding never ever works, and I learned this after many years of packing my suitcase for trips. My mom actually gets mad at me, every single time I fold my clothes in my suitcase. Roll each piece of clothing up in your suitcase, and you can actually fit a lot more than you think by doing this. When you fold your clothes, you eventually leave no room.
3. Organize your suitcase
You want to make sure that you organize your suitcase by sections. For instance, all of your beauty products in the front zipper section, and all of your makeup in the other front zipper section. Organization is key when packing, and again, this leaves a lot more room for other items.
4. Pack light material
It’s true, the lighter the clothing, the easier it is to pack. Even if you’re going to a cold destination, the lighter the clothing is that you pack, the more you will be able to fit in your suitcase.
