Hello lovelies,
I can’t believe it took me so long to finally start swatching one of the first indie nail polishes I’ve bought. I decided to start the swatchfest with the most recent items from Ballerina collection. After seeing the first swatches I wasn’t really into this collection. The only shade that was love at first sight was Dancing with Nureyev, which I ordered immediately (from color4nails). Later, I decided to buy two more shades, but I’m missing Fonteyn.
After receiving them, I have completely changed my mind – I love all three shades and I hope I’ll have a chance to get Fonteyn. The polishes are of a superb quality – all are one coaters, although I prefer two thinner coats. They apply evenly and are extremely pigmented. The formula is good – medium thickness and easy to work with.
Let’s see the individual shades:
Encore Margot is an icy blueish silver holo. The holo effect is weak linear, almost bordering on scattered, but it is a bit stronger than the photos show. I like that the silvery base really shows in this nail polish – usually holo is stronger and hides the base color.
Here are the swatches: 2 coats, no base or top coat:

Her Rose Adagio is a pale silvery rose holo. Again, holo is linear, but bordering scattered. I like this shade more than I thought I would – it is very elegant and flattering.
Swatches: 2 coats, no base or top coat.

Dancing with Nureyev is a medium dark blue holo with a hint of periwinkle. I think that this one has the strongest holo of the bunch, although it doesn’t translate to the photos.
Swatches: 2 coats, no base or top coat.
Overall, I’m in love with these and I can’t believe that I’ve left them ignored in my collection for all this time.
Do you have any A England polishes?
xoxo Tamara
