A Couple of Days in the Cotswolds

By Thefoodiecoupleblog

We recently went on a weekend mini break to the Cotswolds. Luckily we picked the best weekend of the year so far and it was gloriously sunny. We stayed in a lovely B&B in the village of Kingham and over the weekend did a bit of a tour of the Cotwolds, taking in lots of the lovely villages, doing a spot of shopping and eating, ad also visited the Daylesford Organic Farm Summer Festival, which you can read about here.

I took some lovely photos, so wanted to share them and the beauty that is the Cotswolds.

Firstly Boughton-on-the-Water…. a gorgeous village with a picturesque river running through the middle. We loved the quaint artisan bakery.

We also visited Stow-on-the-Wold. A slightly bigger village, with lovely stonework and a few boutique shops to browse. We also spotted a shop for all things organic (from food to clothes and other items)

Moving on, we stayed in this lovely B&B, with great countryside views and its own stable!

Another stop was Broadway, another really picturesque place. A bit more of a foodie village, with quite a few pubs and restaurants, a lovely deli and grocers and we also spotted some traditional mobile ice cream bikes! And of course, we shared some fish & chips for lunch.
