The 6 Jours de France 2015 drew to a close yesterday with 24 hour specialist Fabrice Puaud winning in his 6 day debut with 766 km – a new course record.
Christine David won the womens race coming within less than a mile of Mimi Chevillons course record set in 2014.
The mens 6 day walk was won by Dominique Bunel with another course record of 751 725 km good enough for second place overall in the 6 day list.
The mens 72 hour race was won by Spain’s Bernabe Rodriguez Sibaja with 350 km.
In the womens race Sabrina Freyburger set a new course record finishing with 309 950 km just ahead of top walker Benedicte Salomez (301 750 km).
Richard McChesney was first among the men walkers.
Benedicte Salomez won the 72 hour walk overall with 301 750 km.
