The 6 Days of Pantano got underway yesterday in Policoro at 3:00 pm. 29 runners taking part in the 6 day and throughout the event shorter races will be taking place.
The course is a paved 1.1 km loop through a holiday camp with all facilities, camping and chalet accommodation trackside.
Currently leading at just about 25 hours is José Luis Posado (ESP) with 193 km. Followed by Didier Sessegolo (FRA) some 12 km behind. Leading the women is fellow Spaniard Maria Jose Tomaz de Aquino who leads Gabriela Cotugno (ARG) by less than a km.
