Only Angel – Harry Styles
Even without One Direction together everything is still One Direction. Harry Styles dropped his album last week, and this track brings a classic rock feel to start your week right.
Hopeless Records brings me some of my favorite new bands, and while New Found Glory is anything but new, having been veterans of the pop punk scene since 1997, the Florida band released two new singles. “Happy Being Miserable” is an anthem to prove they’ve still got it, and if you ever forget it, you should be ashamed of yourself. In the track, NFG sings they’ll save their best for someone else, and sometimes that realization is just down right necessary,no matter how hard to swallow the pill is.
Lose My Cool – Amber Mark
Last Friday was a great day for new music. R&B artist Amber Mark debuted 3:33am, and it is on top of my must-listen list.
Rose-Colored Boy – Paramore
Paramore keeps delivering hit after hit and the band’s latest album , After Laughter, doesn’t disappoint. After several listens, “Rose-Colored Boy” sticks out.
Malibu – Miley Cyrus
Honestly, I was a little nervous to hear Miley’s new music. While I loved Bangerz, I wasn’t a huge fan of what occurred after (See: Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz). “Malibu” is a breath of fresh air; it’s an emotional side we haven’t seen from the singer in quite a while.
