We met the girls at the carnival.
I was at a carnival down the street from my apartment with one of my friends. It was one of those carnivals that only happened once a year so a lot of people from neighboring cities were there. I saw this girl I knew who lived in my apartment complex so we talked and decided to get together later on that night. She had a friend for my friend so everything worked itself out. She wanted to drink some Ciroc, so my friend and I stopped at the liquor store on the way back to my place and got a fifth. I called the girls over and we chilled at my place, drank and watched a Chris Rock comedy show.Had to get some more liquor.
The Ciroc wasn't enough
Between four people, the fifth of Ciroc didn't do much for me. I barely had a buzz going, so I went to Meijer and bought some more liquor. I got a fifth of Burnett's vodka. I drank that until I was drunk and just chilled and watched the rest of the movie. Eventually my friend and the girl he was with left, so it was just me and the girl from my apartment complex. She wanted to get high, so she attempted to make a bong out of a plastic 2 liter bottle. There was a spot in my kitchen were I kept all my important papers and when she was making the bong she spilled water all over the papers. I got so mad that I told her to leave. It didn't seem like she really cared about ruining my paperwork so I opened my door and told her I'll see her next time. I continued to drink the Burnett's and escape reality. I remember thinking about how I couldn't find a good woman with class; a woman with true substance. I had just kicked this girl out of my place because I felt disrespected and I was standing there looking at my school and work papers soaked with water. When I was young and got really mad, I would simply walk a few blocks in order to calm down. When I got older and got really mad, I would cruise in my car and listen to certain music that would calm my nerves. I went out to my car and decided to drive and listen to some music to calm my nerves.I took the traditional sobriety tests.
This is what I saw in my rear view mirror.
About 10 minutes into the ride I passed an intersection and noticed the police looking for speeders. I looked at my speedometer and was going about 40mph in a 30mph zone. I knew he was going to pull me over. I was pretty drunk too because I had been drinking Ciroc and Burnett's since about 10 p.m. By that time it was 3 a.m. I turned left, looked in my rear view and the police car was right behind me. He hit the lights and sirens and I knew right then that my life would never be the same. There was no way I could talk myself out of this one because I was just too drunk. He walked up to my car and the first question he asked me was, "Have you had anything to drink tonight?" I responded my telling him I had a couple of beers earlier (lying). He then told me, "Naw, you had a lot more than that." Like I said, I knew I was busted. He gave me a sobriety test and I blew a .22. Almost 3 times the legal limit! He handcuffed me and took me to jail.I bailed out the next day and the first thing I did was opened up my freezer, grabbed the alcohol from the night before, and poured myself a drink.
