This years race was held on the 1.o mile asphalt course, or 2.0 mile dirt, singletrack trail course during the normally cool autumn weather. However, record high temperatures of 90 F, reduced runners to a conservative pace, and forced many front runners to retire before the 24 hour period. Nonetheless, it was a joy to direct and participate.
