2012 Scunci Blogger Contest Entry

Competition Pack*

A few weeks ago I was contacted and asked to take part in the 2012 Scunci Blogger Contest. Contestants have been sent a pack from the lovely people at Scunci in order to create some interesting hairstyles using the Scunci Pin Twirls. I have had experience using these types of hair pins and to be honest they did not work for me. Last year I purchased a set from Ebay I was very excited to try them as I was interested in the concept but once I actually gave them a go I was really disappointed. I have fine hair but a lot of it and I find it difficult to keep my hair in place using these.

Here I have taken a picture of both the Scunci version and the ones I purchased off Ebay last year. As you can see there is not much difference in terms of the diameter but when held side by side you can see the Scunci Pin Twirls are just a little bigger, stronger and have a protective plastic tip so it doesn't damage your hair when you are twisting them in. The Scunci Pin Twirls actually keep my hair in place all day in comparison to the Ebay version which don't do anything for me. If you are thinking of trying these don't waste your money on cheaper versions from Ebay, particularly if you have thicker hair or lots of it. Spend a few dollars more and you will get a much better quality product.
Here are a few styles I have created using the Pin Twirls...
