I love to sleep. I can sleep up to 16 hours a day if time permits. I’m sure many of you agree with me that sleeping is essential to not only regenerate your skin, but to clear your mind.

With that, I shall present to you my Lazy Nightcare Regime which only require two steps before I am free to marry my bed.

{Disclaimer: I sponsored the Annecy, HA+ Collagen Sleeping Mask to myself for the review | Hurraw! Night Balm was sponsored by Pucker for the review. Regardless, it doesn’t change my opinion on any of the products}

I’m sure there’s a handful of people out there who says that you should always tone before you mask. And then there’s another handful of people who insists that you should mask before you tone. So who’s right? Nobody and everybody at the same time.  Well the reason is, there’s no fixated way to how you should apply your skincare regime. All in all, you just have to remember to use the least “active” products first.

That stated, do I use toner before mask or mask before toner? I said mask only. The toner can be left aside for your normal skincare routine which includes the serums and such.

Thus, I bring you to my 2 steps routine to My Nightcare Regime.

First step: Masking

I simply love sleeping masks. It allows me to slather on a thick amount on my face and fly to my dreams immediately, without having to apply a bundle of products on my face. Of course, there are cons to using sleeping mask such as dirtying your pillow cases from unconsciously flipping around in your sleep. However aside from that, not much.

Having said that, today’s sleeping mask introduction is Mannings very own brand, Annecy Age Zero Collagen Sleeping Mask. This mask is designed to:

  • Hydrate
  • Regenerate & Repair Skin
  • Promotes Elasticity

Note: Mannings is Hong Kong’s version of Guardian

Upon application, I felt that the mask is very soothing. It does not have any scent at all which is great considering it’s going to be on your face for the whole night. Aside from that, I felt that the mask is rather light weighted which made it easier for user to apply evenly on their complexion.

After having it on for a whole night, I woke up with most of the mask on my face. Subsequent to rinsing its off, I could see a significant difference on my complexion. My face definitely did glow and looked firmer as mentioned in it’s descriptions. In fact, this mask is so good that I’ll give it 5 out of 5 IreviewUread Smiles if not for one flaw. This mask causes my face to overproduce sebum the following day. In layman terms, my face will become shiny and oily the next day. Especially my T-Zone area.

All in all, I would give Annecy HA+ Collagen Sleeping Mask 4 IreviewUread smiles for it did hit the goals on hydrating and firming up your skin. However, it’s more suited for my dry skin peeps out there.

With 90% of our face settled for the night, it’s time for the second and last step of the regime: Balming up.

Today’s night care lip balm is from Hurraw! Know to be able to help heal your cracked lips as you sleep, I immediately jumped on the chance to try it.

Hurraw! Night Treatment Balm AKA Moon Balm glides on smoothly without any grainy or sticky feeling.  Scented with a light Blue Chamomile Vanilla scent,  Hurraw! Moon Balm goes on your lips with the least amount of effort. What I really like about it is that it is really thick and balmy which helps assure you that your lips have enough protection throughout your 8 hours of sleep. Lets face it we all don’t sleep that much daily.

After a month of testing this and trying it on daily, I did notice the corners of my lips stop drying out like it used to. In fact, I use it for the day as well. It’s definitely a necessity for those who need to experience winter for it’s thick enough to protect your lips from becoming chapped.

For those who have sensitive lips no fear for this balm is organic and cruelty free.

2 Steps Night Regime | Annecy HA+ Collagen Sleeping Mask & Hurraw! Night Balm Review

Overall, I’ll give this lip balm 4 IreviewUread smiles. Aside from being thick and balmy, I felt that this Moon Balm is definitely a must have for those who are experiencing winter or sleeps in air-conditioned room.
