177: How to Find Or Rent an Apartment in Mandarin Chinese

By Learnmandarinnow

Finding somewhere to live is a basic necessity of life, but it’s not always easy as accommodation is in high demand and rent and prices are often high in the cities. It’s even harder though when you want to have a pet. Can you explain to the building management that you want to have a cat or dog? Then understand their reply?

In this Podcast, you will learn:

(i) How to ask about the availability of apartments to rent

(ii) To talk with the rental person about the need to have a pet

Dialogue:

Someone is looking to rent an apartment:

(在公寓楼办公室)

(zài gōng yù lóu bàn gōng shì)

(at the office of the apartment building)

A:您好,租房是么?

Nín hǎo, zū fáng shì me?

Hello, are you looking to rent an apartment?

B:对,这里有一室一厅的房间么?
