NXT Review

*Winners in Bold

Another week of NXT in the Full Sail Arena with Tony Luftman, Byron Saxton and William Regal at commentary. The show immediately starts with Kassius Ohno’s entrance who always is at the center of the show each week, sometimes he looks more as a champion since he gets more exposure.

Kassius Ohno vs Trent  Barretta—After their match in which Barretta won thanks to Richie Steamboat distraction Ohno had his rematch. This was a really good match. Sometimes I wish NXT had another half hour just to see matches go a little longer. At the end Ohno got the win with a beautiful elbow. After the match Kassius tries to hit Trent again with his elbow but Trent counters. Looks like Trent and Ohno will start something.

A promo of Corey Graves talking about his tattoos is shown. Anybody that sees this will immediately be reminded of Punk’s promos before his debut.

Big E Langston vs Memo Montenegro—First sight of Alberto del Rio’s brother Memo at NXT. That didn’t last long because he was destroyed by Langston. Looks like Big E will continue to ask for the 5 count and he will still not get it. Afterwards he hits Memo once again with his finisher. Then he is interrupted by Vickie Guerrero at the Titantron. She tells him she will pay 5,000 dollars to whoever puts him on the shelf. Immediately when he was about to hit Memo once again Chad Baxter appeared to make those 5,000 but he got destroyed.

Jason Jordan vs Luke Harper—He is back! The most interesting character on NXT (since Ambrose isn’t on the roster) is back after an injury that put him out of the ring. Amazing promo work by Wyatt. Looks like he will be the leader of a Cult Following like Punk with S.E.S, it also looks like Luke Harper is the first one to enter that Cult.

After last weeks debut Roman Reigns has some words. Nice promo but Wyatt is still the best promo guy with Kassius Ohno in a close second place.

Fatal 4-Way for #1 Contender: Bo Dallas vs Justin Gabriel vs Jinder Mahal vs Drew McIntyre—Weird to see Drew and Jinder in a more serious role after 3MB started. Good match and once again weird to see Jinder get the win. The show closes with a nice staredown between the #1 Contender and the Champion.

Final Score: 9/10
