It's hard to believe it's been six months since my last race, but after a summer of no races, I'm itching to toe the starting line again. I'm ready to go from casual runs to training runs and take my running game up a notch for the races that lay ahead.

I was hoping fall would be in the air by now. Crisper temps have hit Annmarie's neck of the woods, but it's still pushing 100 degrees every day here in Austin. Race season doesn't always wait for the weather to comply, I suppose. My next few races are around the corner, and I need to start training regardless of whether Mother Nature decides to let fall air grace the Texas hill country or not.

Annemarie and I both have goals for the fall race season, be they tackling new terrain or scoring some PRs. Our goals require us to log more miles, learn how to challenge ourselves to speed up (and sometimes to slow down) and get used to being in training mode again. What does fall have in store for our running futures? We're chatting about it all in this week's Fall Training Update episode.

Tune in as we share details about the races we've signed up for, what our training plans look like and what we're hoping to get out of the fall race season.
