Today I went to a Whole Foods store for some of my usual supplements. It is definitely an expensive store, but what I love about Whole Foods is I always find some kind of food I never tried or heard of. I also love the feeling I get when I’m there, I can be wondering around for a hour just trying on face creams and searching for a new Super Foods.

What caught my eye today was berry called Mulberry. I personally never heard of this berry before so of course I had to give it a try. I noticed it had protein in it, as well as Iron, Dietary Fiber, and Resveratrol.

Resveratrol is an ingredient that has been scientifically proven to extend life. It is also known for decreasing a risk of getting Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. As the science about this incredible berry is still in progress, but it also had shown to reduce cancer cells.

Mulberry is popularly used in Chinese Medicine. I am personally a big believer in Chinese Medicine, because I’ve seen it do miracles. Have you ever gone to one of those Chinese herb shops? They always have a cure for what ever is hurting, you tell them what’s wrong and they have a mixture of herbs, it’s pretty cool actually.
In Chinese Medicine Mulberry is used as a medicinal agent to nourish blood, kidneys, treat fatigue, anemia, insomnia ( who hasn’t have problems sleeping these days, LOL.
Mulberry fruit also contains anthocyanin which is an antioxidant, which fights cancer and bacterial infections.

Besides for all of the benefits of Mulberry I wanted to share my experience with it today. Before I did my research on this berry, I ate some of it about a handful, before my usual workout. During my workout, I felt so incredible and full of energy. After my workout I started stretching and thinking, wow, I haven’t felt like this in a really long time, I just felt great!   I had this pure energy rush, I haven’t had in years. Then a few hours later, as I was researching I found out that one of it’s benefits is a great Energy Boost and athletes are using this berry all the time.
What I loved about that particular Energy Boost , is how pure the energy was. As I said it earlier I haven’t felt this good in years. I am going to add this to my daily Nutrition .
They cost 11 bucks for a 8oz bag, but all you need is a handful. It is something I would recommend if you are looking for some great natural Energy Booster and an Antioxidant in one.

Do you know of any super food you think I should try?
