Delhi Kids get high on fashion on day two of the IKFW 2015 Kids spoilt for choice as leading designers’ show-off their stunning creations
01st March2015, New Delhi: Smashing smiles, vibrant attires and stellar performances enthralled the audience on the day two of the Delhi edition of the Indian Kids Fashion week2015 at The Grand, Vasant Kunj. The gala event witnessed kids sharing the ramp with blue blood of the fashion fraternity exhibiting confidence and style. While day 1 saw several designers and fashion icons like Karisma Kapoor and Noinika Chatterjee walking the ramp as showstoppers, Day 2 witnessed brands like Little Royals, My lil’ Berry, Nauti Nati, Daughters Dream world, Max retail, Mimi & Maggie, Jabong along with designers Elisha Wadhwani and Ritu Beri unveiled their collections.
Delhi edition of India Kids Fashion Week 2015 concluded on a fashionable high note. The event was graced by renowned partisans from the fashion fraternity, celebs, supportive parents and enthusiastic young ones. The two day fashion parade was an ideal platform to highlight kids wear as a budding segment showcasing not just designer apparel but shoes, toys, accessories and lots more.
The show kick started with the charming celebrity Chef Kunal Kapoor and his 9 yr old son walking in style with boys wearing the Little Royals footwear. Little Royals is an online shoe portal with a USP of ensuring the technical needs of a child's growing foot for a comfortable experience.
Elisha Wadhwani showcased her maiden collection called ‘Princess’, inspired by the afternoon soirees of France and the British tea parties. The collection primarily comprised of gowns and dresses in soft spring hues in dreamy princess-like silhouettes. Leading singer Tulsi Kumar was seen walking the ramp with little Princesses.
Little girls adorning ‘my lil berry’ collection’ looked ethereal in the skirts and gowns fabulously crafted using the softest of fabrics. ‘My Lil berry’ is a one stop destination specializing in making girls feel like princesses with their exquisite collection of gowns.
Nauti Nati showcased a quintessential party wear range comprising of marvelously designed garments with international standards. The exclusive collection of chic design and stylish silhouettes made from luxurious fabrics was a hit with the kids. Sizzling and stylish, Natasha Stankovic, a model and actor and also Bigg boss 8 fame, sported the ramp with the little rockstars.
Kanchan Bawa’s thoughtfully created outfits inspired from the ‘sparkling smiles of the happy kids’ were focused on the wearability factor of party wear range. The high point of the show was the two beautiful ladies Anjana Sukhani, the vivacious Bollywood actor and Shardha Arya, the popular TV actress currently the lead in ‘Tumhari Pakhi’ walked the ramp in shimmering gowns along with the little angels.
While Max Retail showcased its bright and colourful creations for the season with actor Sahil Salathia as the show stopper, Mimmi & Maggie displayed a collection inspired by Bohemian style. Striving to keep the “handmade” touch that adds individuality to each garment, Mimmi & Maggie celebrated the spirited girl and the laughter in her eyes, fire in her spirit, love in her heart and dance in her feet. The beauty icon and actor Ms Nikita Anand walked the ramp for Mimi & Maggie.
The brand conscious children were in for a visual treat as Jabong presented ensembles from three international brands Elle kids, Fox Kids and Tommy Hilfiger Children along with its exclusive kid’s collection called Evolve. The versatile singer Shibani Kashyap walked the ramp for them.

The befitting climax of the evening was the show by the style icon, Ritu Beri, the first Asian designer to head the French fashion brand, Jean Louis Schere. The evening was graced by the who’s who of the fashion industry. The contemporary and traditional hues presented by the creator left everyone awe struck and wanting for more.
The IKFW Delhi edition enchanted the audience and promised to return next year with same gusto and enthusiasm.Mr. Manoj Mahla, Director of CraftWorld Events Pvt. Ltd said, “Indian Kids Fashion week was held in Delhi for the first time and Delhi has surprised us with its fashion enthusiasm. We wanted to give these young, talented kids a chance to hobnob with the top notch of the fashion industry. Thrilled with the response will definitely be back again next year.”
