You Can Help Make California’s Crisis Care Guidelines Inclusive – Here’s How!

By Danceswithfat @danceswithfat

Here is an important message, and call to action, from the #NoBodyIsDisposable coalition. Please consider taking the actions below and/or sharing this information and boosting the signal:

California for All!

On Sunday, April 19, the California Health & Human Services Agency issued guidelines for the rationing of medical care and treatment. The state missed an opportunity to work with community, including disabled persons, fat people, older adults, people of color, LGBTQ+ persons, and their families.

Thanks to a rapid community response, California has agreed to revise the guidelines!

Thank you to many #NoBodyIsDisposable Coalition partners who signed on to this letter detailing our concerns. We were excited to contribute our expertise to this letter, led by the national disability rights organization, Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund (DREDF).

Help make sure California's revisions to the Crisis Care Guidelines live up to their commitment to being a "California for All."

Share your Solidarity Selfie & tell state leadership what's most important in these revised guidelines - that the lives of people of color, fat people, older adults, and disabled people are valuable and they deserve care.
