When I saw the opportunity to receive Xiomega3 White Chia Seeds in exchange for my review, I thought it was a good time for me to learn more about the seeds and try them for myself, so I accepted. I read up on the value of the Xiomega3 White Chia Seeds and I'll share with you what I learned:
You will get over 27 nutrients from this ancient seed, including naturally occurring protein, dietary fiber, antioxidants and key minerals. Each serving has:
~5,400mg of Omega-3 (ALA), 2,050mg of Omega-6, and 760mg of Omega-9
~As much fiber as 1 cup of most bran cereals
~45% of the DV for Vitamin E
~Same amount of protein as 1 scrambled egg without the cholesterol
When I saw those facts in writing, I wanted to find something that I could use them in that I would gain the benefits of the white chia seeds while at the same time enjoying the food. I'm pretty particular and don't really care for a lot of the food labeled "good for me" so I searched high and low to find a recipe that would incorporate the Xiomega3 White Chia Seeds. I know that because of their neutral flavor, you can sprinkle Xiomega3 White Chia Seeds daily on fruit, cereal, salads, or any savory dish. I finally found a recipe I think you will love too - it's a pudding recipe that includes strawberries and almonds! YUMMMMMMM!
