It was already dark upon the streets of Westminster, yet MP’s were not quick to leave on Monday 28th January. In times of bleak economic circumstances, in which young people are particular fearful and vulnerable with regards to finding a job, something exciting was becoming promising in Portcullis House that evening.
It was the launch night of educational networking site Wozedu.com. Wozedu believes it is ‘interactive tool that will be a vital resource to anyone, anywhere looking for a new job, a new career or tips on selecting the right university and much more’.
Me, myself, thoughts do cross my mind as to whether I can attain a job upon completion of my degree. Making it in any industry is hard, especially within fashion. Yet with wozedu.com allows young people, like myself to to have access to online forums and chat rooms, in which young people can engage with scholars and companies. These companies across industries will be able to answer any questions young people behold, advertise jobs, internships and work experience. As a fashion student, internships are absolutely vital, so wozedu.com is an absolutely incredible resource. A resource that I have become to use. It is extremely easy to understand how to navigate yourself around the site, in which you can upload your CV. The site also offers advice in how to make your CV more competitive.
So young people, I urge you sign up to http://www.wozedu.com. It has become more apparent to me than ever, that when you are young, you should take every opportunity that comes to you. Which reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: ‘great moments are born from great opportunity’.
