Winter is coming
The reason we went to Iceland for a long weekend was because we wanted so bad to see the Northern Lights. But everything happened in that weekend. Everything went wrong – methodologically and telluricly speaking: not only winter was approaching (late) with a strong blizzard, but also the Bárdarbunga volcano had some strong activity (still is). So, we couldn’t do much, rather than just enjoy the extreme winter landscape and learn how to use our equipment in such conditions: no light and a lot of wind. The house was our base camp in Landmannalaugar. It is worth mentioning that, according to Islanders, this year bring the warmest winter in decades.
