We have been reminded we live in Minnesota the last few weeks with some frigid days! If you have young children or grandkids they can reach a point when they (and you!) start bouncing off the walls and they need to get out and run around to use up their boundless energy.
Here are reminders of some of the great resources we have in the Twin Cities... all can occupy children for hours, and although most charge admission season passes are available for both parents and grandparents... a great investment that will pay for itself many times for your favorite destinations.
Adventure Peak, one of the largest indoor play structures in the country - at Edinborough Park in Edina, a 1-acre indoor park... includes climbing structures for both school age children and toddlers, plus an open gym play area
Many city community centers have indoor play areas... check out what is available in your neighborhood...
LEGO Imagination Center - at the Mall of America, where there are many other things for kids to enjoy as well... but this one is free!
Minnesota Children's Museum - in downtown St. Paul, creating an atmosphere of smart play for children 6 months through 10 years since 1981
Science Museum of Minnesota - also in downtown St. Paul, this expansive museum that calls itself 'Minnesota's Favorite Museum' is known for its interactive exhibits great for school age children
Minnesota Zoo... it's not just for summer - located in Apple Valley, the Minnesota Zoo is a great destination for kids and families at any time of year with extensive exhibits and activities both indoors and outdoors
