It’s that time again! All the books I’ve added to my to read list that you should add to yours too.
The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan: Now, I know by this point in time we’re all probably as sick as can be of anything vampire or werewolf related thanks to the popularity of a certain series of books that shall not be named and the trend that ensued afterwards, but this book sounds like it might just be different enough to tempt me into reading. Our lead character is a 200 year old werewolf that’s gotten tired of life in the supernatural lane and tries to decide whether or not it’s time to give up and end it all.

The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf: This novel’s summary reminded me a little of Room. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s because the heroine is a seven year old who has gone through something so traumatic it’s shocked her into silence. Of course, this even happened before the novel began, so what you’re reading about is the aftermath of the even when the heroine and her best friend go missing and everyone is forced to discover what’s happened to make Calli go silent. It sounds interesting and a little faster

The New Kings of Nonfiction edited by Ira Glass: I’m a huge fan of This American Life and always look forward to new episodes being uploaded to my podcast. Ira Glass knows how to take everyday life and make it interesting. I am not a huge fan of nonfiction books only because it takes time away from fiction reading. But if Ira Glass put it together, this book has to be filled with some of the best stories out there. A collection of stories about everyday life might be a good break from stories of the outrageous.

The Snowman by Jo Nesbo: A murder mystery set in the Oslo in the winter, a series of murders takes place each day of a first snowfall. The detective, Harry Hole, is an ongoing character in Nesbo’s other books so if this one turns out to be as suspenseful and intriguing as it sounds it might be worth picking up another book too. I’m always on the look out for a good mystery series so I’m hoping this one lives up to the reviews it’s gotten.
