So if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you may have noticed that I have been BLOWING UP your feed this past week. Sorry about that. :) BUT I hope you enjoyed some of my pictures/videos from my trip to Washington, D.C. Packing is NOT my forté, so I was pretty proud of myself for pulling together five days worth of outfits. Here is one of my favorites that I wore on our visit to the National Cathedral.
It's not often that I wear tweed- preppy is not typically my style. In fact, this jacket is the only piece of tweed in my closet. What I love so much about it though, is the cut. It's not your classic tweed jacket, it has an edge (similar one here and here). Moto jackets are always cool, but when you throw an unexpected fabric like tweed in the mix, you're bound to have something good. Of course I had to carry my favorite Alexander Wang bag- I'm a sucker for pebbled leather and studs. D.C. is a walking town, so I opted for my trusty my riding boots. I don't think my feet would have survived in any sort of heel!
Here are a couple of my favorite tweed jacket options. What are your thoughts on tweed?
P.S. I LOVE how I'm wearing almost the exact same outfit at the bottom of this page. That just goes to show that there is no shame in repeating an outfit and having staple pieces in your closet!
