What I Wore: NCAA Final Four Tip-Off Gala Turn on your JavaScript to view content I was asked to attend the Final Four Tip-Off Gala this year at the Omni hotel and like every other girl in the world, I was secretly thrilled to go shopping for an outfit to wear. Any excuse to dress up right?? Right. Well, it was great until I realized I had about an hour to get myself together for it. BUT SOMEHOW I managed. I can't decide if I should be impressed or concerned with how quickly I was able to buy an entire outfit. Probably a bit of both.
Anyway, I ended up settling for this simple jade green gown by Ted Baker. I have to admit, I kind of love it. It really does epitomize my style, albeit it isn't in black... I figured I could make an exception for a special event like this.
Although getting all dolled up was fun, the highlight of the night had to be the sit down with President George W. Bush and Jim Nantz. Apparently President Bush and Roger Staubach (who was in attendance) have played a game of basketball or two against each other and Mr. Bush didn't miss a chance to throw a little playful shade Staubach's way, "He fouled a lot." A former world leader and a former NFL all-star. Who knew.
