Hi girlies,
Happy New Year! I hope you all have a healthy and very happy one, as after all that's all that matters. I am more than aware that the majority of us are nursing hangovers today, so I decided to keep this an easy read and share with you what I received for Christmas. I'm aware that some people absolutely love reading posts like this, basically if your nosey like me this sort of post is right up your street! But others find posts like this a form of bragging, so just a little disclaimer that I know I was very lucky to receive the presents that I did this year etc.!
Now onto the good part, the presents!!
Handbags;
This year I was lucky enough to receive not one but two amazing MK bags. The Selma (black studded tote) was bought by my mom and dad and my boyfriend picked out the Hamilton by himself which I am amazed at how well he did! I am obsessed with these two beauties and cannot wait to use them and I have a feeling there is going to be quite the collection formed!
This croc style leather number was another mom and dad/Santa gift I absolutely love it for every day use and I think it will really dress up and outfit. The guess purse was a present from my nanny which I think I'll just keep my coins in. And the amazing jewelled clutch was a present from my boyfriends mum, I actually couldn't believe when I opened it as I had seen it in the window of River Island a few days before Christmas and fell in love! How adorable are theses this Betsy Johnson cosmetics cases? I have already filled them to the brim with my most used cosmetics and brushes and they're surprisingly spacious!
Beauty bits;
So it's safe to say my mom went a little Sleek crazy this Christmas, but when your a beauty blogger from Ireland where Sleek is basically non existent this is amazing! The palettes are "Vintage Romance" "Ultra Matte Darks" and "Original". She has informed me that the powder pictured is one that Pixiwoo swear by, so if it's good enough for them I'll happily give it a whirl!
This shows the importance of "Wednesday Wishlist" posts as a blogger!! My mom read my wishlist post where I said I was craving over the infamous Ben Nye Banana powder and bought it for me as a stocking filler! Missing from this pic is my MAC "soft and gentle" highlighter which also featured in that wishlist! The other MAC products are "Love Joy" blusher (which is showing up as some crazy brown color on camera, when in real life is a fab pink) and "nice buzz" lip-glass, which is an oldie but a goodie! The Lancôme juicy tubes are the other present from my boyfriends mom who clearly knows me very well!
These are again from my nanny who is amazing at buying brilliant basics! I cannot wait to get using the beaucology set and the Body Shop camomile body oil, which both smell amazing! The St. Moriz is a given, once every two weeks my nanny, yes my nanny, stocks me up with my tanning fix! It's safe to say she's not the average granny!
The "Lola" perfume was a gift from my aunty who knew instantly by the name it had to be bought and it is just fab! The Nicki Minaj Pink Friday perfume was another gift from my nanny, yes another surprising present to receive from your nanny! This perfume, despite the childlike packaging, is amazing. Very Escada-like, it's sweet and girly which is exactly what I look for in my perfumes.
Electronics;
I am currently typing from the beauty pictured above the Sony Vaio and it is absolutely fab. Windows 8 is a bugger to get used to but other than that I'm loving it! The touch screen dvd player cd player is my other gift from my boyfriend who knows me too well and knows that I have wanted one for my new car for agesss now but have never got round to buying it!
Teddies,pyjamas and books;
This adorable Tatty Teddy will add to my collection that my boyfriend has bought me over the years, it is so adorable! Lets face it, it wouldn't be Christmas without getting copious amounts of pyjamas, socks and tights which will magically disappear come next Christmas!!
I absolutely love getting a new diary every year for Christmas, even if I do rarely write in it! This cupcake one is so cute and again from my wee nanny! So Sue Me, if your from Ireland is becoming a household name in the world of blogging so when she released her book I knew I had to get my hands on it to read her advice on blogging.
Jewellery;
Every Christmas my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet gets a little added charm. This year I got three which means it's filling up nicely! The gold ones are from my aunt who wrote an adorable note about the meaning behind each one, I didn't know dragonflies where a symbol of goodluck until then! The beauty junkie charm is from my mom and is adorable on!
I just love these two storage boxes but I'm unsure on whether to use them for my jewelry or my makeup!
Clothes;
Once again a certain Wishlist Wednesday post came in handy for my mom when choosing gifts as I got not one but three "Three Floor" dresses, my black and nude one is not pictured here. The Celeb Boutique dress is absolutely fab on and was my New Years Eve dress! And finally my faux fur scarf. I have been living in my black fur one since I got it and now I've got a brown and cream one to add to my collection!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have a great new year girlies and one of my main new year's resolutions is to focus more on my blog so you can expect lots more blogging after my college exams next week!
Until next time girlies.. Lola Rose xx
