What I Brought..

When shopping in Primark I never have enough patience to try on garments as their sizing is so unusual. I rarely ever buy my actual size in there (10-12), it's usually a case of holding an item up and seeing if it looks like it fits. So i usually just hope for the best when it comes to shopping in there. Luckily for me I took these items home tried them. To my surprise each and every item fit me just the way I hoped for.
The first item I picked up in Primark was the loose knit marl gray jumper above. I think I brought this in a size 14 as i wanted a loose fitting jumper. The sleeves are a little longer than 3/4 and the hem is longer at the back than the front. The neckline is quite wide shouldered which is very flattering, I like to pull the back of the jumper so the neckline is higher up. The neckline also has a faux leather trim binding in a darker grey, this kind of gives off the feel that the jumper being more expensive than it is. Being such a loose knit you need to wear something underneath as you can see straight through the jumper. I love to wear this with leggings or disco pants, a simple black vest top underneath and with a chunky gold chain.
I then picked up this daisy printed t-shirt in a size medium (it's the first time i have come across this concept of sizing in Primark) I instantly fell in love with the print and to be honest thats probably the only reason I brought it, as I have no real need to spend more money on another bog standard t-shirt. For £5 I can't really complain the quality is surprisingly nice for the price. The only downside to this top is a really high neckline, it's sort of uncomfortable. Maybe I managed to pick up the only dud t-shirt on the rail.
The last item of clothing I picked up is the baseball style dress. When I first saw the price, I was nearly tempted to not buy it. I know that sounds a little snobby but sometimes i'd rather spend the same amount of money in another shop I know I'm going to get better quality from. But that's the reason I brought this dress the quality of it was really nice, its much thicker than it looked which is great for the autumn/winter months and I really love the raglan sleeves on the dress. Raglan sleeves for some reason are so much more flattering and I know that more time has gone into making them than a normal set in sleeve. I enjoy the comfort and casualness of this dress - see HERE how I styled it up.
The final item I brought was a simple waist/hip belt. I have been in need for a new belt for sometime, this is a multi purpose belt as it can be adjusted for the waist or the hip. The gold hardware design on the sides look really unusual when the belt is on as hardware sits on the side of your waist (if that makes any sense!) Hopefully i will put a picture up for you for you to see properly. For £2.50 it was a steal of the day.
I hope you enjoyed this haul. Have a great day.
