What Have You Been Watching?
August 27th 2012 Edition
This weekend was a relaxing sort of weekend. It was spent Golfing, seeing friends, and reading a ton of Manga (The World God Only Knows – 100+ chapters). I also applied to a lot more jobs on Saturday, but we’ll see where that goes. I’m taking a Resume break today and I’ll continue on the grind tomorrow!
On to the Entertainment!
Movies:
Ruby Sparks – Thankfully this came within 15 miles of my home. I did enjoy it, although it goes into much darker territory than its trailer would suggest. Look for a full review coming soon.
Vertigo - It’s been a long time since I’ve revisited Vertigo and now since its been titled the best film of all-time, what better time than now? I still widely enjoy the movie and it is more entertaining than Citizen Kane. I just don’t believe the techniques used were as significant to film in general. It’s not my favorite film of all-time either, but it still holds up as probably my favorite Hitchcock film.
Video Games:
New Super Mario Bros. 2 – Unlocked all the levels and beat world 9. I think I’m done with this for now. Did I enjoy it? Sure I did, but it didn’t offer much new to the Mario experience.
TV: I pre-ordered Homeland, so I should be starting to watch it this week!
