Every Monday we can talk about what we watched over the weekend. I’d enjoy hearing what new movies, games, or televisions shows were seen over the weekend. This is what I’ve been watching this weekend.
What Have You Been Watching?
September 17th 2012 Edition
The question of the moment is…what didn’t happen last week?! Things around here got flipped upside down and there was some difficult sledding for most of the week. Hopefully we are out of the woods, but we’ll see. I missed my meeting on Tuesday night, but did manage to go to the seminar on Saturday. It was informative and I got to hand out a bunch of business cards so it was productive as well.
I only managed to see one film since I’ve last written. I don’t know if it’s my mood or I’m just worn out, but things will be a little slower around here for the time being. Whether that means two posts a week and a review here or there who knows. I know I plan on seeing The Master this weekend and will have a review for that. Also, I should be appearing on a new recording of the LAMBcast that we are recording this Sunday. Well we’ll see what I watched this week.
On to the Entertainment!
Movies:
Finding Nemo 3D – I was back and forth about seeing it for a few days. I planned to get the Blu-ray and I didn’t think there would be much benefit to the 3D. Well when the opportunity to go to the movies on Saturday night came up there was only one choice. Disclaimer: This is my favorite Pixar film. The film holds up spectacularly and it was a lot of fun to see it on the big screen. Like most post-conversions I didn’t notice too much benefit in having it redone in 3D. It was just special seeing it on the big screen once again.
Video Games:
Mark of the Ninja – Finished my first playthrough of the game. Amazingly I found myself going back trying to get all the achievements. It’s probably right next to Fez as my favorite XBLA game of the year. Don’t miss it.
TV:
Downton Abbey – Oh it’s so good to be back. While I haven’t been away from the Abbey for that long, the show hasn’t missed a beat. I’ll talk about season 3 episode 1 next week so I give people at least a week to view it. I’m excited that it is back.
Yes I continued to watch football. Disappointed the Patriots won a game they should’ve easily won. We’ll see how they hold up against the Ravens next week.
