Hey Loves!
A couple of weeks ago, I stopped in the Mattése NYC store to celebrate the arrival of Crown Brush. Currently in NYC, the well known brush company, Crown Brush is not sold in stores. The only way to get them in the US is to order them online or you can wait for HauteLook to have their amazing sale. Either way, you aren't touching those babies until they show up in your mailbox. As a makeup (everything) brush hoarder, I was truly excited to hear that they were FINALLY arriving a few train stops away from me. When I first started getting into makeup, Crown Brush was the first set of brushes I purchased- so they hold a special place in my heart. They are loved by beauty professionals everywhere and are priced so reasonably that ANY beauty lover can afford them. Basically they ROCK.
Moving on..............
For the event, all brushes and products were discounted at about 50% off. I was shopping with a few friends and randomly picking brushes up I thought I "needed". Here's what I walked away with.
I grabbed six eyeshadow brushes because they're the ones I use the most. To be honest, NO ONE wants to sit there and clean brushes after each application, SO I stock up on shadow brushes. The other three were face brushes. I picked two for blush and bronzer application. That fancy fan brush that I just HAD to have (above) will be used for highlighter application. It's just so soft and fluffy, I love it!
The event was overall great. Major faces from the beauty industry hung out and we sipped mimosas while discussing makeup. Events like these are the ones you learn the most from.
