It's already Saturday again! That means it's time for my weekly nail polish choices again. I seem to be in my blue period this week. :) To see what I've been wearing, keep reading!
I started out the week with two coats of "Blueberry" from Hello Kitty. I topped it with an indie glitter top coat that I found on Etsy from Silly Lily Polish. I really loved both of these polishes! The Hello Kitty polish is such a pretty color and I think "Blueberry" is a great name for it. It was a little bit thick side, but nothing too extreme. The Silly Lily Polish, which is called "Little Twin Stars" is really adorable and I really liked it with the "Blueberry." It is just a clear top coat filled with little bits of silver glitter and then tons of pale blue and pink stars. The edges of the stars poked up a bit here and there, but it wasn't too distracting. It was a bit thick and you had to work a little bit to get the stars placed well, but that's kind of standard with big glitter shapes. Overall, I think it was a good polish and it's super cute! (And the bottle is beyond adorable too!)
Next, I went for another indie jelly glitter polish from D & R Apothecary. This one has a white base with a hint of pale blue to it and is filled with various shapes of pink, aqua and navy glitters. I really love this polish, plus it applied like a dream! It is called "Lullaby." It seemed quite durable and was opaque in three coats - good for a jelly polish, actually good for a whitish polish! :) It was a pain to remove, but it was beautiful and I was quite impressed with the formula!
Finally, I painted my nails with Zoya's "Blu" which is a pale sky blue creme that is so pretty! It went on perfectly evenly in two coats. It was not at all difficult like many pastel polishes, nor does it seem chalky like some formulas can be. I really wanted to use another one of my new glitter top coats from D & R Apothecary, so I added one coat of "Enchanted" to my ring fingers. I love this glitter too! It is so pretty! It's full of rose, pink and copper with a touch of periwinkle blue. I am really happy with how this turned out over the "Blu" too! I love the combination and I really want to add "Enchanted" to all my nails, but I don't want to cover up the "Blu," plus I feel like it would be over kill. So my lone little ring nails are adorned with the prettiest glitter I've seen in a long time! It also applied really nicely and lays perfectly flat. I could barley feel it even without a top coat! :)
So there you have my nail polish choices from this week!
What has been on your nails this week? :)
