Posted on the 24 January 2015 by Ana Hoffman @AnaTrafficCafe

Don’t have the time to read all the marketing news, blog posts, announcements, and other content related to SEO/social media/online marketing published each week?

I’ve got you covered.

I sift through trillions (well, hundreds) of online publications to stay on top of marketing news that might affect your online business.

And I package them neatly in bite-sized chunks in my Weekly Marketing Skinnies right here at Traffic Generation Café every Saturday morning.

Between you and me, I have no idea why I bother investing hours of my time weekly reading all these marketing news just to boil them down for you in my Weekly Marketing Skinnies, other than the fact that I know you don’t have the time to keep up with the fast-paced marketing industry on your own, yet you DO need to be in-the-know to remain competitive.

Plus, your enthusiastic comments and social media shares show me just how much you truly appreciate being kept in the marketing loop in just a few minutes per week.

If you appreciate what I do, share this Marketing Skinny:

THANK YOU.

Now grab your cup of coffee and let’s catch up on the marketing news that matter to your business.

[Webinar Replay] Hurray for second chances!

Course Builders Lab webinar replay is here!

I’m not sure if you had a chance to check out the replay to Danny Iny’s blockbuster FREE training webinar, but if not, you’ll have to get on it right away.

>>> LAST CHANCE (JAN. 25TH at MIDNIGHT) – Course Builder’s Laboratory – The proven new system for creating and launching profitable blockbuster products with repeatable and reliable results.

The value Danny provided on this training was absolutely off the charts.

No fluff. No filler.

Just the proven, reliable, and repeatable strategies you can implement right now in your business to launch massively successful products while minimizing risk and maximizing profits.

And since the material he was revealing on this webinar had previously only been shown to closed-door consulting clients and high-ticket coaching groups, needless to say, they were less than thrilled to have it “out in the open”.

So if you want free access to what people have paid thousands to learn, then you’ll need to grab it here within the next few hours.

And… don’t be a dummy like me, and make sure to watch till the VERY end where Danny reveals how you can get access to a bonus worth an additional $10,000. Yeah… it’s crazy good.

;-)

Search

Google’s John Mueller: building high quality links sounds like building unnatural links. I suppose no link building is the new link building…

Google posts idiot-proof instructions ‘for all the Google Search-loving Firefox fans’ out there on how to dump Yahoo search. Considering Firefox seems to reset your settings back to Yahoo search with every update, you might want to remember this.

Google released Chrome 40 for iOS with Material Design, support for bigger phones, and more.

Social Media

Apparently, Facebook News Feed is now showing fewer hoaxes.

New Deloitte Report says Facebook 1.35 billion users have $227 billion global economic impact.

Twitter now officially uses Bing Translator so you can read Tweets in multiple languages.

You can now use Cortana to launch a new tweet in the Twitter app for Windows Phone.

Pinterest continues to tweak the site to lure the other (generally slower… lol) half of the population – men. It rolled out personalized search results where gender is factored into the results. Quite fascinating…

The ad-free Ello said Hello to videos and music — with ads? I suppose it’s hard to escape the ad-driven reality of our lives, huh?

Now onto news about Google+ ads: +Post Ads (social lightbox ads) now include polls, and your related posts in the ad.

Unprecedented: The White House published the entire State of the Union speech on Medium.com before the speech was delivered. Time to look into Medium for business?

Speaking of SOTU, here’s what Obama’s State of the Union address means for the tech industry – in a nutshell and minus applause.

Congrats, you now have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser. Unless you are a Mac user, of course – ‘due to Apple platform limitations.’

And by the way, if you’ve recently been banned by WhatsApp app, you must have installed a 3rd-party version of WhatsApp client, like WhatsAppMD or Whatsapp PLUS.

Twitter Digits, the company’s login product that works with a phone number, is now available for the web.

On a Side Note…

Marketing This & That

Breaking: it appears that Google has reached a deal with Sprint to sell wireless service!

The future is here: during its Windows 10 event this week, Microsoft revealed the HoloLens augmented-reality headset and the Windows Holographic platform. It’s incredible. Just watch this video. And here’s what else Microsoft announced at the event.

Windows 10 is now available to the Windows Insider Program, aka the guinea pig pool. Test away! If, however, you prefer to sit back and watch, check out this video for a demonstration of the Office universal apps for Windows 10 on a tablet.

U-n-believable… Hacker’s List is a new service that offers to connect customers and “professional” hackers for hire.

SkyMall magazine has delighted bored airline passengers since 1990, and now its glory days are over as the industry giant declares bankruptcy. Makes me sad…
